Finding a government grant may seem like an absolutely overwhelming prospect to some but, with the advances in technology, it is becoming easier and easier. If you think you can tackle the job alone there is a Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance available by the Federal Register that lists every grant that is available and how to get more information about it.

This covers over fifty seven federal agencies at this time and more are added all the time. Searching in this catalog is free and most libraries have a copy of it. It is also listed in the Weekly Federal Funding Report from the House of Representatives.

If you feel as if you would be better off getting some assistance in your search and application process, there are many companies out there that will help you find the grants and apply for the ones you qualify for.

Make sure if you do try to find assistance with your grant research that you find a company that you are comfortable with and that you feel is not trying to scam you.
